  1. Apparently holding public office now comes with a license to lie. One wonders where Mr. Cawley gets his 'talking points'. ALEC perhaps? It does happen! Water has been polluted, both here in Pennsylvania and out west. which has resulted in poisonings and sickness. Local jobs created have been vastly overestimated, home values have plummeted and the gas will be sold overseas via LNG terminals already in the works. In the end, some decades in the future, the total costs of gas extraction will far exceed the benefits leaving this land sick and poor. This is not even to mention the huge contribution to greenhouse gasses and resultant global warming. Oh, but ALEC doesn't believe in that. Ah, willful ignorance, how soothing.

  2. Disappointing commentary. Lt. Gov. Cawley is telling the truth and has the resources of the DEP to back up his talking points. Instead of calling a reputable elected official who is trying to help our economy a liar, why don't you provide proof where "water has been polluted in Pennsylvania" and that has "resulted in poisonings and sickness." You cannot - you can only point to claims and inferences. Jobs creation has in fact exceeded estimates and you insult the companies and the families that have benefitted from these jobs. And natural gas usage reduces greenhouse gas emissions versus other fuels. Get real!
